Keywords
Liver diseases, cell models of Hepatitis C virus replication, modifications to hepatoceullular physiology, hepatic fibrosis.

Research Interests
Cellular physiology of the liver: role of factors related to growth, metabolism and the oxyo-reduction state in resistance of hepatocytes to acute and chronic liver aggression.

Studies include mouse and human hepatocyte cell cultures, apoptosis, acetaminophen, glucose metabolism, magnetic resonance spectroscopy; effect of hepatic fibrosis on toxic hepatic aggression, on the development of hepatocellular carcinomas and on the metabolism of amino acids.

Models of Hepatitis C virus replication: primary human hepatocyte cultures infected with Hepatitis C virus replicon.
