Research Interests
Geneisis of Quebecs genetic heritage and its impact on health. 

Constitution regional gentic heritages and their influence on variable frequencies of mutation carriers. Projects are eleaborated as a fucntion of poistional cloning as part of a larger perspective of identifying new neurogenetic diseases having a founder effect in Quebec.

The Neurogenetics of Motricity Laboratory has three research themes: muscular dystrophy dystrophies musculaires, sensitive neuritis and ataxias.

With support from the Fondation de l’Ataxie de Charlevoix-Saguenay, the laboratory has initiated a vast collaborative project on recessive spastic ataxia of Charlevoix-Saguenay to intensify research into this disease which occurs more frequently in Quebec.
