Mechanisms involved in the pathology of human and animal
osteoarthritis. Investigation of therapeutic strategies in vitro,

involving gene therapy.
Development of an magnetic resonance imaging system that enables
the quantification of the volume and thickness of cartilage of the
knee and hip as well as other articular tissue structural changes.
This system is used in both human and animal
studies.
