The CRCHUM rated as “exceptional” by the FRQS

The CRCHUM is very pleased to announce that the review committee created by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) to evaluate the centre’s four-year funding renewal application, gave the CRCHUM an overall rating of “exceptional”.

“Since the evaluation in 2008, the Centre has made enormous progress with respect to the planning and establishment of a new research building, consolidation and improvement in key axes of high quality research, and improvement in the functioning of research teams and research collaborations,” notes review committee Chair Dr. Paul Dorian in his report. The Board of Directors of the FRQS unanimously adopted the committee’s evaluation report.

The hardest part is not so much being rated exceptional the first time around, but to maintain it. But this is exactly what the CRCHUM succeeded in doing thanks to the efforts of the entire CRCHUM community and to the performance of its many research teams.
